Allison Island is fast becoming the go-to destination for the ultra-wealthy priced out of Indian Creek, the exclusive Miami enclave home to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
A newly built spec home on the island has shattered records with a $31.5 million sale, marking the highest transaction in Allison Island’s history. Developers Fred Karlton and his son Aaron sold the property to financier Paul Casey and his wife, Viktorija, according to documents obtained by Gimme Shelter.
The deal was brokered by Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp, LLC, who represented the sellers, while Dora Puig of Luxe Living Realty represented the buyers. Both declined to comment.
The gated community is home to less than 50 dwellings and they are all on the water.
The center of the island is landscaped.
Past and present residents on Allison Island include LVMH veteran Michael Burke, who was CEO of the conglomerate’s fashion group for four months last year, as well as the rapper Future, Shakira and Sylvester Stallone.
The spec manse, at 6494 Allison Road, is 8,024 square feet and sits on 0.4 acres.
It features six bedrooms and 8½ bathrooms.
Details include a chef’s kitchen, a gym with a sauna and steam rooms, a rooftop terrace, a pool, an outdoor kitchen and a two-car garage with lifts. There’s also a private dock and a boat lift.
Allison Island was developed in 1912 by Carl Fisher, the developer, in honor of his business partner, Jim Allison.
